The right media depends on dust size, temperature, moisture, chemistry, abrasion, cleaning method, emission targets, and replacement cycle expectations.
Polyester filter bags are a common dry dust path for moderate temperatures, with finish and membrane options.
PTFE membrane filter bags are a surface filtration option for selected fine dust, release needs, and efficiency-driven applications.
Higher-temperature or chemically demanding choices depending on the operating profile.

Terminology
Filter Cloth, Felt and Filter Bag Fabric
Use the material term together with the finished filter format and the industrial dust-collection duty.
In industrial dust collection, filter media can refer to felt, woven filter cloth, or another filter bag fabric used to build a finished dust-collector filter. The terms are related, but they do not always describe the same construction. Felt is commonly specified as a nonwoven media; woven filter cloth describes a woven construction; and filter bag fabric is the material before it is cut, sewn, and finished into a bag.
A finished filter bag also includes the dimensions and construction that make it fit the collector: top and bottom style, seam, snap band or cuff, reinforcement, and cage relationship. That is why a material request should be reviewed with the existing bag or a drawing, not only a cloth name.
